If you had the opportunity to provide a camp experience to an inner city teen that would make such an impact that they refer to it as “The most important two weeks of your life”, would you do it? We have decided to set aside this week’s blog to talk about a non-profit organization near and dear to Advocate Brokerage. The organization is called Steve’s Camp at Horizon Farms.
Steve’s Camp at Horizon Farms
Steve’s Camp was founded by Steve Kessner, the son of a cab driver from the Bronx who established the camp in order to provide young people with backgrounds similar to his own, a summer camp in the country. The organization has grown into a successful 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping underserved youth develop healthy bodies, hearts, and minds. They provide a unique camp experience to underserved New York City teens through summer camp and year-round follow-up programs.

Advocate Brokerage has a long history with Steve’s Camp at Horizon Farms. Not only are we Event Sponsors for their upcoming Casino Night, both Ron Binday & Glenn Binday are long time members of the Board of Directors.
About Casino Night
On Monday February 1st, Advocate Brokerage will be an event sponsor for the Third Annual Casino Night to benefit Steve’s Camp at Horizon Farms. The event will be held from 6:30 – 10:30pm at Clyde Frazier’s Wine and Dine on 10th Avenue between 37th & 38th Streets. The evening will begin with Cocktails & Hors d’oeuvres followed by a fun evening at the gaming tables, dinner, dessert & prizes.
