With warmer weather and clean roads, it is time to begin the process of readying classic and exotic cars for a summer of cruising, car shows, and/or daily driving. Many of these cars have been tucked away in a garage all winter, under cover, to wait for better days. The weather and accident risk associated with driving any collector’s car in the winter can be just too great. And with any car that has been in hibernation for a few months, there are a few tasks that need to be performed to make sure it is ready to drive.
Our partners at Chubb Insurance have recently posted a video about the pre-season maintenance required for a classic automobile before it hits the open road this summer. This video shows viewers how to replace the engine coolant; check the battery, lights and lug nuts; and search for fluid leaks and rodent damage, along with other items vital for roadworthiness.
Once these tasks are completed, your car should be ready for a great summer of driving. But before you take your pride and joy out for a spin, contact us at Advocate Brokerage to insure your piece of automotive bliss. We can protect your vehicle with a policy customized to fit your unique car and budget.
