Craig Cheverko returned to Advocate Brokerage as Marketing Manager 2½ years ago.
This is his second time with the firm. Earlier in his career, Craig came on board as a trainee and learned all about insurance at Advocate before seeking a job in New York City. He trained at the Culinary Institute of America and became a chef before turning in his toque to join the Advocate Brokerage management team.
Craig handles personal insurance and works with clients to create a personalized insurance plan – one of the strengths of Advocate.
“What is most important to me is attention to detail,” says Craig. “We get to know our clients and create custom packages at competitive rates.”
He believes that the Binday family’s very detailed approach with their company is a big reason for its success.
“We live and work in this community so it is important that we provide exemplary service to our clients,” he notes.
When Craig isn’t interviewing clients, he is shooting hoops with 5th through 8th graders on the Mt. Vernon Junior Knights. He led Advocate’s sponsorship of Backyard Sports Cares, which brings sports to children, including those with special needs, who don’t have access to traditional youth sports programs. Last March, the Advocate team with Craig as captain, helped raised $60,000 during a basketball tournament that brought together 35 teams to play for the charity.
“It is important for us to be involved in the community,” says Craig. “It demonstrates that Advocate cares about their customers and their families. We go the extra mile at Advocate.”
