Memorial Day Is Here; Let the Summer Fun Begin!

Time has been relative since the pandemic began, so it’s a bit hard to believe that it is already Memorial Day which ushers in the unofficial start of summer season. With many of the directives for staying Safer at Home still in place, this season is going to look different than it has in prior years, however, that doesn’t mean you can’t take the time to enjoy the good things in life!  Below is a list of ideas to help you safely celebrate during this challenging season:

Ways to safely celebrate during this challenging season:

• Have A Picnic
  With many restaurants offering take-out and curbside delivery, it gives you the perfect set up for some outdoor dining on the go.  Spread out the picnic blankets (6 feet apart) and enjoy the sunshine.
• Take A Hike

• Have Fun At A Drive-In Movie

• Hit The Road
  As more and more states begin to ease their restrictions, the family road trip is bound to make a comeback! Whether it is to a vacation home, an Airbnb or aboard an RV, families are finding new ways to make memories this summer.
• Spend A Day On The Course
  Although there are restrictions in place, golf courses are open for those willing to carry their clubs and limit their use of golf carts.  If your idea of relaxation is a day outside, with a club and a ball then spending a day on the course might be a great idea this weekend.
• A Day At The Beach
  The beaches at both Rye Playland and Croton Point Park will both open for Memorial Day Weekend for Westchester County residents at 50% capacity (although all concession stands will be closed).  Beaches at the Jersey Shore, Connecticut, and in Maryland will also be open with restrictions in place so if your perfect day includes sand and waves, you may be able to plan an escape!
