In an effort to educate each client we serve, we want to provide some clarity during a time of uncertainty for our Commercial Insurance clients with regard to Business Interruption Coverage.
Business Interruption provides coverage for the actual loss of business income sustained when the loss is caused by either direct physical loss or damage to property. Therefore, unfortunately business interruption coverage will not apply to most of the businesses that have been affected by this pandemic. However, coverage determinations can be made by your insurer. Insurers will review each claim on a case by case basis.
